Once Nepal’s first comedy club, Happy Club has transformed from a beloved physical venue into a dynamic, ever-adapting collective of performers sharing joy both online and offline. Our open mics, once hosted on a cozy mini stage with a seating capacity of 34, are now happening every Wednesday at 6:30 PM, whether via Zoom or at the charming JamPauroti Cafe.

Our past shows at Happy Club’s venue were filled with moments of laughter, reflection, and creativity as comedians, poets, and magicians took the stage. However, community concerns and a high number of turnovers led to the closure of our physical venue. But in true comedic spirit, Happy Club wasn’t deterred by the setbacks. Instead, we embraced the challenge, took our shows online, and partnered with local cafes to continue what we love doing—bringing people together through performance arts.

Now, our new home, JamPauroti Cafe, is where we bring you our ever-evolving open mics, allowing us to get back to our roots—community, creativity, and laughter. The cafe, opposite Prime Times TV on Katyani Marg Chowk, KTM, offers a relaxed atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for intimate performances where audiences and performers can share in the magic of live art.

Our open mics are free, welcoming both seasoned performers and those who are just stepping onto the stage for the first time. The magic happens not only with jokes and storytelling but also with impromptu moments shared between performers and audiences. Whether you’re there to perform or enjoy the show, the open mic brings something for everyone, from gut-busting standup to mesmerizing magic tricks and heartfelt poetry.

At Happy Club, laughter and creativity never stop, and we’re thrilled to continue our mission of sharing joy across different stages and platforms. Join us every Wednesday at JamPauroti Cafe for an unforgettable evening of performances and connection, because at the end of the day, the essence of what we do is about community and keeping the spirit of comedy alive in Nepal.
