We currently host our Open Mics and Shows at Happy Club, Maitidevi, 3rd Floor, Maitidevi Complex (Above Nabil Bank) Kathmandu.
What is an Open Mic?
An Open Mic is a live event where anyone can get on stage and perform. It’s a space for beginners to try out new material and for regulars to sharpen their skills. At Happy Club, our Open Mics are all about fun, creativity, and giving everyone a chance to shine! Currently, we are running two open mics: one for stand-up comedy and another for poetry (Poetry • Stories • Ghazals • Musical Acts).
When is the Open Mic happening, and is it free?
Our Stand-Up Comedy Open Mic takes place every Sunday at 3 PM & Wednesday at 6:30 PM.
Audience entry is Rs. 300, a small price for a big night of laughs. Performer registration is Rs. 100, so whether you are coming to watch, test new material, or perform for the first time, join us for an evening of comedy.
Our Poetry Open Mic takes place every Sunday 4:30 PM & Thursday at 6:30 PM.
Audience entry is Rs. 300, a small price for an evening filled with poetry, stories, ghazals, and musical performances. Performer registration is Rs. 100, so whether you are here to listen or take the stage, come be part of a creative and expressive night.
How can I register as a performer?
You can sign up by filling out the form at happyclub.com.np/openmic.
- Registration for Poetry Open Mic opens every Friday at 6 PM & Tuesday at 6 PM
- Registration for Standup Comedy Open Mic opens every Friday at 6 PM & Monday at 6 PM
- We have 10 – 11 slots for our Open Mics.
- It’s first come, first served
- Perfomer registration fee is Rs.100, Nrs 150 additional for performance video.
You can perform only stand-up comedy at the Stand-Up Comedy Open Mic, and poetry, stories, ghazals, and musical acts at the Poetry Open Mic.

When and how will I get my performance videos and photos ?
Performance Video
- Opt-in during registration: An additional fee of Nrs. 150 applies for the performance video. Please select “Yes” under Video Needed when registering. Note: This selection cannot be changed later, the form submission is final, and video requests cannot be made afterwards.
- Check your email address: Ensure your email address is entered correctly during sign-up. We cannot update it later, and an incorrect address means your video could be sent to the wrong person.
- Processing Time: Videos are usually sent within 24 to 48 hours after the event.
- Delivery: Videos are shared privately via the HC Portal. You will receive an email notification once your video has been processed.
How to access your video:
- Log in to portal.happyclub.com.np using the exact email you used during registration.
- Navigate to Videos from the menu grid.
- Click on the specific date of your performance.

What are the rules to be followed for Open Mics?
We have a set of rules that need to be followed during our Open Mic events. Failure to follow these rules will result in a ban from registering for the next Open Mic.

How can I reserve a seat as an audience member?
You can reserve your seat as an audience member at happyclub.com.np/shows.
Seats are limited, so we recommend reserving early to make sure you get a spot.
