For years, Happy Club has been a thriving platform for stand-up comedy, open mics, poetry, and even magic performances in Nepal. However, one major challenge was sharing performance videos with comedians and artists efficiently.

The Struggles of YouTube Private Sharing

Previously, YouTube private video sharing was used to send stand-up comedy open mic recordings to performers. However, this method had several drawbacks. The entire one-hour video was shared, meaning performers couldn’t control who else might see their section. YouTube also doesn’t allow direct downloads, making it difficult for performers to save their clips. Searching for specific sections in a long recording was frustrating and inefficient.

To address these issues, HC Portal, developed by Karki Ji, was created to simplify the process of accessing and managing performance videos.

What is HC Portal?

HC Portal is a custom-built video-sharing platform designed exclusively for Happy Club performers. Unlike YouTube, where performers received an entire one-hour recording, HC Portal ensures that each performer gets access only to their own segment.

Key Features of HC Portal

Personalized Video Access – Performers receive an email with a link to their individual section. They can log in to HC Portal and instantly access their clip without sifting through a full-length video.

Easy Download & Editing – Performers can download their full section or trim short 30-40 second snippets for social media sharing on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.

Performance Analysis – Reviewing past performances is crucial for comedians, poets, and magicians to refine their craft. HC Portal makes it easy to analyze what worked and what needs improvement.

Quick Notes for Future Reference – A note-taking system below each video allows performers to jot down key moments, helping them remember highlights or feedback without rewatching the entire clip.

All Videos in One Place – Instead of searching through 20-30 YouTube private videos, all past performance clips are stored on a single page, making it quick and easy to navigate.

How to Use HC Portal

A Step Forward for Nepal’s Stand-Up Comedy and Open Mic Scene

The stand-up comedy and open mic scene in Nepal is growing, and Happy Club is committed to supporting comedians, poets, and artists by providing the right tools. HC Portal is not just a convenience; it is a game-changer for performers who take their craft seriously.

Performers are encouraged to explore HC Portal, take advantage of its features, and share feedback. Since this is an early-stage release, continuous improvements will be made based on user experience.
